My Tiny Shore Crew
When I started racing again, one of my biggest questions wasn’t can I do this?
It was can I do this as a mom?
Turns out: yes.
Because I don’t do it in spite of being a mom — I do it because of it.
My kids are at the heart of this journey. They help clean the boat. They cheer from the dock. They race around with their own regatta snacks and pretend to be “mom’s crew.” They see me showing up. Pushing. Learning. And I see how much they’re soaking it in.
The late nights, the long drives, the packing and repacking — it’s all worth it.
Because every time I hike out on the rail, I know I’m not doing this alone.
I’ve got my tiny pit crew right there with me.
