One race at a time, Lauren Wilson is charting her path back to elite competition — from international Olympic-pathway regattas to the U.S. Olympic Trials and beyond.
The Campaign Path
2026 is a pivotal season. I’m racing a stacked calendar that takes me from Florida to California, across Europe, and into Canada — building the experience, ranking points, and results I need to qualify for the U.S. Olympic Trials and ultimately the 2028 Games in Los Angeles.
Key events include:
Midwinters East – Key Biscayne, FL
Pacific Coast Championships – Coronado, CA
U.S. Nationals – West Coast
North Americans – East Coast
Trofeo Princesa Sofía – Palma de Mallorca, Spain
Semaine Olympique Française – Hyères, France
Dutch Water Week – Almere, Netherlands
Kieler Woche – Kiel, Germany
Long Beach Olympic Classes Regatta – Long Beach, CA
CORK Olympic Classes Regatta – Kingston, Ontario, Canada
Each race is a step forward — sharpening my skills, testing my resilience, and pushing me closer to LA 2028.
What it takes
Competing at this level is as much about preparation as it is performance. To line up alongside the world’s best, every detail matters:
Charter boats + entry fees ($1,000–$1,300 per regatta)
Coaching at key regattas for strategy and performance analysis
Flights + travel to national and international events
ILCA-specific gear and sails to stay competitive
I cover my family’s travel on my own — campaign funding is dedicated solely to performance needs.
