I’m Going to Worlds. And I Need Your Help Getting There.

Big news…

I’ve officially been offered—and accepted—my place at the 2026 ILCA 6 Women’s World Championship in Dún Laoghaire, Ireland. 🇮🇪⛵️

To say this is a dream opportunity feels like an understatement.

This championship will bring together many of the best female ILCA sailors in the world, and I’m incredibly honored to represent both my clubs and my country on one of the biggest stages in our sport.

Even more exciting: after a strong experience working together at U.S. Nationals, my on-the-water coach has committed to joining me for the event.

That matters more than I can adequately explain.

At this level, coaching is not a luxury—it’s one of the biggest performance differentiators in the fleet. Tactical feedback, weather insight, race debriefs, performance analysis, and even simple things like conserving energy with a tow to the race course can dramatically change outcomes over the course of a regatta.

And for the first time in this campaign, I feel like I have a real opportunity to arrive at a major international event with the support structure needed to truly compete.

Now comes the hard part: getting there.

International Olympic-class sailing is incredibly expensive, and unlike many national teams around the world, as an American, the majority of these costs fall directly on the athlete.

After budgeting flights, charter fees, coaching, lodging, transportation, and equipment, I’m estimating this event will cost approximately:

$25,780

Woof. That’s a big number.

And importantly: this number does NOT include any personal or family travel expenses. Every dollar raised goes strictly toward competition-related costs overseen through the Skiff Sailing Foundation.

Why I’m Asking For Help

For a long time, our family has quietly tried to shoulder the financial burden of this campaign ourselves.

But competing at the international level—and competing well—requires community.

This journey has already become so much bigger than me. It’s about showing my kids what’s possible. It’s about proving that second chances and “second winds” are real. It’s about representing women, mothers, and athletes who refuse to believe dreams have expiration dates.

And honestly? It’s about showing up fully prepared when opportunities like this arrive.

If you’d like to help me get to the starting line in Ireland with a real fighting chance, I would be deeply grateful for your support.

Every contribution matters — whether it’s $5, $50, or $5,000.

All donations are tax deductible through the Skiff Sailing Foundation, which ensures every dollar goes directly toward legitimate competition expenses and never toward family travel.

Thank you for believing in this journey and helping fuel this Second Wind.
