The Moment I Said “I’m Going for It”

There wasn’t a big announcement. No lights, no cameras. Just a quiet moment after a regatta last summer when someone I respect looked at me and said, “You’ve still got it.”

That was it. The spark.

I’d spent years sailing competitively — from my early teens through my time on the U.S. Sailing Team. But I stepped away to focus on school, career, and raising my family. I never stopped loving it. I just stopped going all in.

Until now.

Now, I’m training again. Racing again. Competing at the highest levels I can reach — with a goal that’s big, bold, and maybe even a little audacious:

to represent the U.S. at the LA 2028 Olympic Games.

This is my second wind.
And I’m chasing it with everything I’ve got.
