On the Underdog Podcast: Racing toward the Olympics at 42 as a Working Mom

I recently had the chance to sit down with Allison Edmonds from Fox 5 San Diego & KUSI for their Underdog: Defying the Odds podcast.

We recorded this conversation just before I left for Palma de Mallorca, Spain to compete in the Trofeo S.A.R. Princesa Sofía—my first event in the Sailing Grand Slam series.

In this episode, we dive into my Olympic campaign in the ILCA 6, what it means to compete against athletes half my age, and how becoming a mom didn’t close the door on this dream—it gave it new meaning.

Because sometimes your Second Wind isn’t just a comeback—it’s your strongest chapter yet.

If you feel inspired, please help make this dream a reality by donating to the campaign!
All donations are for competition expenses only.
