Here We Go! Joining The Starting Line In Key Biscayne!

I’m on the plane to Miami, Florida now and am literally flying toward the starting line for this year’s racing. To say I’m feeling all the “feels” is an understatement.

Am I nervous? Yes. This is the beginning of one of my most intense racing years ever. I’ve committed to an aggressive schedule that will pit me against the world’s best week in and week out. I want to do well to prove to you and to myself that I’ve still got it and that this Olympic dream deferred is alive and well.

Am I excited? Also, yes. I’m fully healed from the abdominal reconstruction surgery I underwent in October of 2025. I am eager to see what I can do when not hampered by a fully torn abdominal wall. Do I expect straight bullets out there? No, but I hope to show everyone at this regatta (and as the year progresses) that my increasing core strength will translate into being able to point better, hike longer, and simply sail faster.

Most of all, I am feeling buoyed by all of your support. Your messages have provided a major lift to start this year’s campaign, and I can never thank you all enough.
